Why subscribe to Ideas First?

That’s a good question, and if you are interested in good questions and thoughtful attempts at answers, then you’re in the right place.

Subscribing to Ideas First will connect you with the home of the Bald, Blind, and Buddies podcast. In this podcast, two friends, with different experiences and outlooks, sort, and filter ideas, seeking greater understanding, and having a good time in the process. Listen along, and you are guaranteed to agree with one of them most of the time.

In Ideas First, you will also find writings from a “free-thinking, blind, M.D., Ph.D., psychiatrist.” The probability of anyone else on the planet having those qualifications is astronomically low. Consequently, at Ideas First, you will see the result of that uniqueness expressed in engaging articles.

Together, we’ll stop and consider the ideas behind events, raise the curtain on mental health, learn what it’s like to practice medicine at an ideologically captured university,  think about thinking, and draw meaningful connections.

Ideas first is about putting ideas first--before feelings, before dogma, before assumptions, and before censorship. My ideas may be right, they may be wrong, but hopefully, they're worth thinking about for a little while.

I see the world differently. I'm a psychiatrist, who trained in basic sciences. I'm a husband and father. I have a black belt in jujitsu. And I'm blind My world is just a bit different from yours and that's the seed of the thoughts I'll share.
